7.8.13 Madcow Squat

A band so popular, a new album release can alter the world economy (in a tv show).  Although somewhat of a caricature of the genre, Dethklok has produced a few of the most catchy melodic death metal songs I know of.

Today was the 5-rep day of Madcow squat.  Warmups felt pretty slow.  I actually felt like I hadn't fully recovered from Friday's work, and I felt out of the groove.  Nonetheless, the squats moved without too much problem.
Squat, high bar
295 x 5
335 x 5
365 x 5

Goodmorning, low bar
185 x 8 x 4
Side Bend
50 x 12 x 4

Lever Squat machine
200 x 10 x 3
I sometimes do goodmornings with a low bar position and sit way back to work the glutes and hams.
After side bends, I suddenly felt really fresh, so I just did some quick work on the lever squat machine for the hell of it.  I actually liked it.  Maybe I'll keep this in.

This was the last day of high bar squats for me.  Starting Friday, I'll be continuing with Madcow squat, but with a low bar position.
