7.9.13 Bodybuilding

Not bad for a side-project band.  Bloodbath's album, Nightmares Made Flesh, is relentlessly brutal, and one of the few albums that I enjoy listening to continuously without pressing the fast forward button.

In my never ending quest for swole, I've incorporated bodybuilding-style days into my offseason template.

AM

Row
165 x 5
185 x 5
205 x 5

Chin, Parallel Grip
body x 10 x 2, 8 x 2
Paused DB Curl
25 x 10 x 2, 8 x 2

PM

Incline Bench
175 x 10 x 5

Landmine Lateral Raise
2.5 x 10 x 5
a) Paused DB Curl
20 x 10
25 x 10 x 2, 8 x 2

b) JM Press
115 x 10 x 5

For paused dumbbell curls, I set up an adjustable bench to a high incline, stand behind it, and put the top of the bench in my armpit.  Then, lower the dumbbell onto the bench, let it rest, relaxing the arm, and curl.

Here's a video of a dude doing landmine lateral raise.  I feel this in all three heads of the deltoids much more than any dumbbell raise.
