08.13.13 I lift things over my head.

German melo-death band Parasite Inc. just released a new album.  It's a dead ringer for DevilDriver, which is not a bad thing.  I almost posted a doom song here, but I know there's only one metal fan who reads this blog, and he doesn't like doom.  You're welcome.


A week and a half is left in this training cycle.  This is the heaviest and most intense part, and I'm really starting to feel the effects.  Still, the swole must go on.
 
Just one midday training session today because I went on a hiking trip in the evening, which was less challenging than I expected from a cardiovascular standpoint.

That's a PR.  Previous PR was 205 x 1.  This was one of those PRs that's simply a result of stubbornness.  It was silly to expect this to happen today, but I didn't care.  I was doing it no matter what.

Also a PR.  I missed the first attempt, but got it on the second.  The miss was stupid, and I'm not even sure what happened.  I just didn't catch it at all after the leg drive.  I immediately tried again without so much as re-racking the bar and got it.
