08.03.13 Row and Bench

Evocation is a Swedish melo-death band who's been at it for some time.  They just released a new EP.


Only one session today because I just didn't really feel up to training twice.  That's autoregulation.  I stretched an foam rolled in the morning.  My traps and rear delts are beyond sore from the snatches yesterday.

I took a video of the set with 315.  It's clearly a bit too heavy, as the actual rowing motion was pretty shallow.  The vid really isn't worth posting, I think.

Bench, medium grip

I briefly considered working up to a heavy triple or set of 5, but I wanted to give my shoulder a break from really heavy pressing.  These sets were pretty easy.

Band distracted stretching and traction for the hip and shoulder are still the hot topic.  My hip, for one, seems to be healing up quite nicely.  My shoulder is showing progress, but it's slow.  Between a full day of rest tomorrow with multiple mobility sessions and the morning mobility session on Monday, I think I'll be good to resume squats on Monday night.  Here's hoping!
